Diane Nunnelee, who founded AHHH, TRAVEL! in 2007
- lived in townships around Cape Town for two years, 1997-1998 working with indigenous people as South Africa began its journey of freedom and democracy;
- has traveled extensively throughout South Africa - as well as to Namibia and Zimbabwe -- developing and growing special relationships with grassroots organizations and individuals seeking to make a difference;
- has toured game parks and nature reserves, mountains and coastlines, rural and urban areas, witnessing first hand the serene beauty and invigorating wildness of this incredible nation at the southern end of Africa;
- since 1997 has worked with and led teams of US volunteers
on local church and community projects, as well as to
experience the diversity of cultures and the ongoing
demands of economic inequality;
- has returned regularly to South Africa, maintaining past
relationships and developing new ones which enable
a unique experience of this amazing nation;
- beginning June, 2012 will live in South Africa 6 months of each year, volunteering
and commuting between Durban and Cape town
- has been been awarded the designation of a certified South African FUNDI by the SA TOURISM COUNCIL
AHHH, TRAVEL! exists for the sole purpose of introducing people to South Africa and her neighbors in Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, and Swaziland.
